: Integration Architect
The Integration role is primarily around migrating their existing estate from IBM ICW - (CrossWorlds which is going out of support) to IBM Message Broker. They are looking with someone with experience in doing so that can bring in Patterns, Ways of Working etc.
Job Purpose: The purpose of the role is to develop the Integration Architecture, Strategy and Roadmap in line with the Enterprise Architecture and Business Roadmaps and to act as the Solution Architect on associated IT development programmes. Key Accountabilities: Chair relevant Project Design Authorities and ensure solution Management Contribute to relevant parts of integrity IT Strategy and Market awareness Maintain awareness of IT and Kingfisher and Operating Company IT Strategies Maintain knowledge of emerging industry and Retail industry (cost) benchmarks Evaluate Identify potential opportunities for the business technology trends new IT technologies and methods that are of potential value to the Group Enterprise Architecture and solutions design, implementation & maintenance Work with the Enterprise Architecture team (Business and IT) to agree Integration Strategy and Architecture and develop an associated Integration Check alignment of solution options with Roadmap agreed with the business Establish: relevant principles, standards, reference Enterprise Architecture architectures, and patterns Solution Design, Implementation and Maintenance Provide technical leadership during the development of (solution architecture) new/enhanced systems and ensure that all essential elements (methods & tools, functionality, service quality, systems management etc) are considered Perform solution options analysis and product selection with particular focus on Ensure that appropriate product roadmaps are Total Cost of Ownership maintained and that appropriate plans are in place for periodic maintenance / Be aware of issues with operational systems and assist as required in upgrade Contribute to the resolution of incidents and problems Methods and Tools definition of an appropriate and integrated suite of technical methods and tools for use in business design, requirements gathering, system design, development Maintain a detailed knowledge of current and test Technical leadership practice in own area of expertise Person Specification: Business, Leadership and Customer focused, team oriented, results Relationship skills and experience & Capability to work effectively with senior business and IT costs driven Strong leadership skills with Effective interpersonal skills management experience of shaping, motivating and driving change within a large fast moving Persuasive communicator with strong verbal and multi-national environment Experience in written communications skills at all organisational levels Experience of geographically distribute managing vendor relationships Pragmatism Good influencing and negotiation skills multi-cultural working Ability to drill from overview down to detail and vice and analytical thinking Capable of resolving complex Resilient achiever versa when required technical issues involving co-ordination of different parties Functional Skills is familiar with retail industry processes and applications and experience has practical experience of has credible integration expertise and experience has practical experience of Enterprise Architecture IT Strategy development is able to envisage the business potential of emerging development has broad practical experience of IT system development and technologies has been lead architect / designer throughout the life-cycle service delivery has the ability to build effective business cases Expert knowledge of projects of: Integration technologies o Extensive experience in development with IBM WebSphere Business Integration, SOA .Experience in Java development. J2EE skills oEDI/ETL/MQ/Comms Gateway/Connect Direct knowledge. Good knowledge of the KITS Integration landscape Knowledge of SAP PI and SAP .Exposure to Retail Systems Problem analysis and resolution General: Several completed full project lifecycles Broad knowledge of IT, the IT function and application of IT for business benefit Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure, WAN, SAN, Storage technologies, highly available systems, operating systems (AIX and WINTEL), applications architectures.
