The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC)
is the trade body that supports and represents the recruitment industry. Recruitment
is a £26.673 billion industry responsible for the 1,377,740 temporary workers out
on assignment in any given week and for placing over 787,000 employees in permanent
work each year.
Recruitment impacts on every sector of the UK’s and Europe’s economy.
The REC's membership is made up the most established recruitment agencies and businesses
in the industry (corporate members).
The REC has a strict
Code of Practice which provides a basis for
Ethical Recruitment,Best Practice and Quality SAP Recruitment.
The REC also gives legal advice to members and audits contractual and policy documentation
to ensure compliance with current legislation.
The REC is a member of EUROCIETT the European Confederation of Private Employment
Agencies.
EUROCIETT membership ensures that the REC can keep its members abreast of developments
in Europe.
