The agreement expands an already extensive alliance between the two vendors. Last October SAP began reselling Open Text's Enterprise Content Management software as part of its SAP Business Suite. SAP also resells Open Text's document access, archiving and invoice management applications under an earlier deal. The digital asset management software helps businesses manage marketing content, such as material developed for marketing Web sites, and content developed by the entertainment industry, said Singh Mecker, head of SAP's global ecosystem and partner group. SAP is reselling the Open Text software under the name "SAP Digital Asset Management application by Open Text." The development work to integrate the software with other SAP products, including its CRM applications, has been completed and the product is now available from SAP.
