Universe Technology passed its latest ISO 9001:2008 Audit with flying colours.
The Audit covered all aspects of the Quality Management System with respect to Universe Technology’s scope as a “specialist recruitment services” organisation, and no major nonconformities were identified.
The auditor from the British Assessment Bureau was Mr Paul Raven, an auditor with many years experience within diverse industries in both the public and private sector.
He recommended that certification continue and commented as follows:
“The QMS is fully implemented, good procedures in place, with reviews of the quality manual, policy and objectives. Good controls in place for control of clients and consultants. Management reviews are conducted by top management quarterly, minuted and communicated to all employees. Internal audits are conducted in accordance with the audit schedule, corrective action implemented and recorded. Training analysis is conducted with employees on a monthly basis.”
He also noted that there is “good evidence in place that the organisation’s top management drive the Quality Management System and ensure it is communicated out through the whole organisation”, and that there are “good controls in place of the process of clients’ contracts, consultant selection and search and interview process to ensure the right person for the right job.”
Overall the impression was a positive one with only minor suggestions for improvement, which will be incorporated into a corrective actions plan for implementation soon after the next management review.
